Reply:First of all, any site that asks you to pay for information to get started (whether it be a survey site, data entry, mystery shopper, etc.) is a SCAM. Legit sites should always be free to join or apply.
I have tried several survey sites and the only one I've cashed out on is mysurvey.com. When I used it on a regular basis I made about $10 a month. If you are the head of your household and/or have kids you'll probably get more survey opportunities than I did.
You'll also make more if you are able to refer friends. Then you'll make money when THEY take surveys as well!

When doing "paid surveys" and such, sometimes they offer a good bit of cash to sign up for a credit card. Does it affect your credit AT ALL to apply for a credit card and cut it up the minute it arrives in the mail? Is this fraud? Will I be screwing myself over somehow?

They are the only TWO legitimate home based businesses I know of besides STAPLES(but there work sch is to strict and they don't offer part-time and they are not flexible). There are legitimate survey sites out there, however you will usually only be able to make around 10-30 dollars a month per site.

Be careful though, there are a lot of survey scams out there. Don't sign up for any survey site which asks you to pay to access the surveys. Also watch for language like "get paid for taking surveys AND SIGNING UP FOR OFFERS" if you don't want to have to sign up for stuff with other companies to get paid.
Always carefully read their terms of service and privacy policy. If in their privacy policy they say they only use aggregated info, this is GOOD SIGN they are legit. Aggregated info information that is grouped together so it can't be connected with anyones personal identification like name, e-mail, phone or address. That's what survey sites SHOULD collect. Avoid sites that say they give, rent, or sell any personal information (info that is not agregated) to third parties (unless you really don't mind getting junk mail, telemarketing calls, and spam).

Then you end up with about 200 e-mails per day and only 2 are surveys and they are next to impossible to find anyway. To be honest I've never found any that was actually worth the hassle, and besides that most only pay 1-20 cents per survey and will not issue a check until your account balance reaches at least 50 dollars.
Inboxdollars offers a paid surveys, and pays 1-10 cents per e-mail that they send to you and online cash games, online shopping rewards and much more. They have a zero tolerance spam policy. So you only recieve e-mail from the offers you personally sign-up for or 2 e-mail ads that you get paid to view from inboxdollars theirself per day.
To be honest, you can only expect 2 - 3 checks per year from inboxdollars but that is still twice as many as any paid survey sites.

i used to live near a lady that worked in market research. she used to bring round all sorts of samples...like food i had to cook taste and rate , perfumes to smell...all of which i had to complete surveys on there was alot of paperwork but i got between £5-25 per survey. its handy extra cash when your a busy mummy of 4!

just do a search for surveys for pay. Most all of them say they pay. The truth is most all of them don't and the ones that do don't send out enough surveys regularly to sustain an income. I read recently where one guy said he swore by them but then said he had to register with over 100 companies to get paid... I wonder how many surveys from each company he has to read ... too much work with no guarantee for me... trust me, I know, I tried it... just didn't sucker myself into signing up for 100 before I realized the

Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics -- e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old -- and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.
Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).

Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics -- e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old -- and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.
Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).

I receive at least one survey per day from each of them. Survey Spot occasionally pays for their surveys, but not all of them pay, and the ones that do, not all of them will you qualify for. The most I have made from them was $109, but that took a course of several months. You can request a check when you have received at least $5, but it takes a few weeks to be credited to your account (you have to sign up at surveyspot.com).
Zoom Panel awards points for surveys, which can be used for various rewards, like books, movies, CDs, a few gift cards, small electronics, health and beauty supplies, and other stuff. If you don't qualify to complete the survey, you will be awarded 5 points. Otherwise, you may receive 25, 50, 75, or even 100 points, depending on the length of the survey. I think the most I've received was 200 points for one survey. If you refer four friends, you can receive 100 points for each referral, once they complete their introductory surveys.
The only downside to Zoom Panel is that some of the prizes are rather cheap (oddball brands I've never heard of), and on one occasion I've had a prize break. It was a pair of headphones, but I think that was my fault, for pulling on the set too hard to adjust them. The other problem I had with them was a wire was loose in one side, so half the time the speaker on that side would go out.
Because of that, I usually go for something a bit more durable, or easily replaceable pricewise, like books, CDs, or DVDs. I have ordered probably about 9 or 10 CDs from them so far. There are a few more I want to order, but I'll wait until I get the amount of points needed. It takes a while to build them up.
I am also signed up with Harris Polls, which also awards points for prizes like Zoom Panel. One thing I like about Harris is they have the option to have $5 deposited into your PayPal account for every 800 points you have. I've had $15 in my account once, which I then had transferred to my checking account. You don't have to have the same e-mail address for your PayPal account that you use for the surveys...just make sure you provide the correct information to get the $5. It takes a few days to show up.

1. WelI I actually take surveys for cash. And yes they do pay as long as you know the good ones. I have some free survey sites that are very reliable just check out my profile by clicking my name or email me for them. I only give sites that I've been paid by so you won't get scammed. They're all reliable and I've never had a problem with them. (I've been doing them for a year now) The best part is that anyone can do them and they're easy. You won't get rich but they definitely help with bills :)

Try one of the free survey directories like http://www.whichsurveys.com that sort companies geographically rather than assuming everyone is from America. They have several pages of international research panels.

Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics -- e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old -- and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.
Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).

Lightspeed Panel takes a lot of points to earn 15- 20 dollars. There are many surveys that you do not qualify to finish
Survey spot is ok, but rarely offers money for surveys and you have to wait till you have over 10 dollars for them to pay you.
Zoomerang, and Zoom panel are good, but they do not pay money you can select gifts from a online catalog when you reach certain levels.
If you travel some of these sites will not let you post from foreign countries and you loose lots of surveys. One day you could have 5 surveys and they are very quick to fill the quota.

You complete surveys that only take like 1 minute to 3 minutes at most.
You only have to make 10$ till they actually send the money to you.
They send the money on the 15th.
You only have to be 13 which helps because you don't even have to have a credit/debit card. They will send checks.
You don't even have to COMPLETE the survey, You just have to finish it to the point where it asks you to confirm your e-mail.
Even then, just make a fake email that you actually have to check, but just to confirm e-mails so you don't get spam in your real e-mail.
You can make as much as you want, basically just depends on how much time you have.

You can also view the checks they have sent me. You can get paid by check, paypal, GC, etc. It depends on which site you join. The way you pay taxes is if you've made over $600, you need to fill out a w-9 and send the form the the survey company so they can submit the information to the IRS. Anyways, here is my site:
